  • 255 g coconut oil/vegetable oil (liquid)
  • 150 g white sugar
  • 165 g packed brown sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 large eggs
  • 128 g Tulip Dark Compound Chocolate Chips

As you can see, to make the butterless chocolate chip cookies, you can change the butter to coconut oil or vegetable oil. For the coconut oil, you need to use the liquid form, not the solid one.

The next thing you need to know is how to make butterless chocolate chip cookies. Before we are started, you can preheat the oven to 375oF/190oC. Then, let’s follow these steps:

  1. Prepare a large bowl, place the eggs, coconut oil, white sugar, packed brown sugar, and vanilla extract on it. Use a whisker to mix the ingredients until well combined.
  2. Add flour, salt, and baking soda to the bowl. Whisk together until your dough becomes smooth and no ingredients are incorporated.
  3. Prepare a baking tray and place a sheet of parchment. Use a cookie scoop to place the dough in the baking tray. Give some space between the dough to make sure they won’t stick to each other.
  4. Bake the cookies for 9 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven or until you get the golden brown color.
  5. When it;’s done, take the cookies out and let them cool before you store them in a jar.

How to Melt The Coconut Oil from Solid Form?

Usually, the coconut oil you found in the store is in solid form, not liquid form. But, for the butterless chocolate chip cookies, you need them in liquid form. Then, how to melt the coconut oil from the solid form to the liquid form?

It is easy to melt coconut oil. Same as the chocolate melting process. You can use the double boiler technique or just heat it in the microwave. As a side note, you may need to place the coconut oil at room temperature and not from the fridge.
