  • 120ml warm full-cream milk
  • 2 eggs

  • 125gr all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 200gr granulated sugar
  • 120ml hot water

  1. Preheat the steamer by boiling water below the line in medium-high heat and cover the lid with a kitchen towel
  2. Take a large bowl and sift together all-purpose flour, Tulip Noir Cocoa Powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt
  3. Add granulated sugar and mix everything, then set aside
  4. Take another bowl and put in vegetable oil, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract, then whisk everything until well combined
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients then add water into the bowl, whisk the cake batter until well combined
  6. Pour the steamed cake batter into the pan and tap the counter gently to release air bubbles
  7. Place the pan into a steamer gently, making sure to water drips onto the cake batter
  8. Steam for 50 minutes or when a toothpick inserted comes out clean
  9. Take out the steamed cake from the pan and let it cool at room temperature for 10 - 15 minutes, and then flip it over on a wire rack
  10. Now, let’s make the chocolate ganache. Start by boiling the full-cream milk in low heat
  11. Cut the Tulip Dark Chocolate Compound into small pieces and then put it in the pan
  12. Add butter and mix everything until well combined
  13. After that, let the chocolate ganache cool at room temperature before using
  14. Pour the chocolate ganache onto the cake with a piping bag or spatula as you wish
  15. The last step, put some topping such as strawberry slices, chocolate chips, or chocolate rice on top of the chocolate cake to make it even more enticing
